Skinny Dipping 04 x The Glad Cafe presents: Mélodie Blaison + Sara Mokrani

Mélodie Blaison is a french artist, flutist and composer based in Brussels. Integrating her classical training with experimental production, her research is rooted in a desire to create intimate experiences. She explores breath, voice and sound material beyond classical frameworks. She deconstructs the codes of interpretation and instrumental forms to invent listening spaces where sound becomes a vehicle for presence and relationship.

Sara Mokrani is a French-Algerian composer and sound designer who explores generative sounds from modular synths along with dreamy melodies played on organs, piano and flutes. Inspired by medieval harmonies, her practice focuses on complex sequencing techniques and pattern-based melodies that create a minimalist sound architecture allowing us to explore the purest emotions.

Sunsplit Stone is a Glasgow-based experimental duo featuring composer/violinist Mellissa Rankin and sound artist/poet Cat Hawthorn. Blending acoustic and electric instrumentation with spoken word, their sound spans the sonic spectrum, from the soft and familiar to the strange and unruly.
