JC Leisure Group, is the live-iteration of JC Leisure - Liverpool-based composer specializing in responsive sound systems. Established to mark the release of the new record Low Tide, Hi Grypus!, available soon via Edições CN. A project that activates the field-recordings of grey seal vocalizations recorded by JC Leisure, captured during an off-grid residency in Wales. The wet-archive is activated in the real-time by the performers; Diane Barbé (flute / vocals), Nick Branton (clarinet), Joseph Summers (hydrophone) and JC Leisure (organ pipes, electronics). Establishing a new music, a horizontal dual-communication of human and marine biology!

His approach prioritizes spontaneity, playfulness and the unpredictable relationships between human gesture and sound - previous works Include A Courtyard! (Sun Ark, 2023), created by voice-activated home-built electronics, Mutations For (Warm Winters Ltd, 2020) that engaged pirate-radio archives and 4th Sided Mixtape (BBC Radio, 2022), a radio play commissioned and broadcast by BBC Radio and Raft of Trash (Warm Winters Ltd, 2021), a collaboration with the artist Dialect, built around autonomous Simcity 3000 gameplay.
