Hailing from the north coast of Scotland, growing up in Glasgow and graduating from the Guildhall in London, Ali Watson is an upcoming artist who certainly appears to be going places. After moving back to Glasgow last year the 24-year-old bass player has decided to form his own brand new ensemble comprising of heavyweights of the Glasgow scene - Alan Benzie, Greg Irons and Matt Carmichael.

With influence from contemporary jazz, Scottish folk and 20th century impressionist classical music, the band quietly transcends traditional genres to produce a set of often complex, yet accessible music comprising intricate yet lyrical melodies and thoughtful improvisations.
