Nighttime rolls the cosmic dice and lands on her most expansive album to date. Time is malleable in the hands of cosmic American folk band Nighttime. Early recordings could be mistaken for choral hymns from the Lomax archives, while 2023’s Keeper is the Heart—lauded by Bandcamp as Best New Music—feels like a lost psychedelic gem of the 1960s, invoking the spirits of Vashti Bunyan and Norma Tenega.

On Nighttime’s forthcoming record, Looking Glass, the band that began as a solo recording project has evolved to feature contributions by over twenty musicians, including Sam Evian, Roy Montgomery, and collaborators of Pearl and the Oysters, Marina Allen, Florist, Weyes Blood, and Aldous Harding—their work woven into a single silken web coalesced around shimmering harp, beatific trumpets, rolling guitar, and the guiding thread of Eva Louise Goodman’s rich, singular voice.

Faith Eliott is a songwriter and visual artist. Born in Minneapolis, they moved to Scotland nearly two decades ago. Through storytelling and world-building, they illustrate intuitive landscapes populated by hagfish, Pleistocene volcanoes, cursed memes, and late-Renaissance apocryphal monsters lurking in the aisles of Asda. Sonically, Eliott grounds themself in a stripped-back, lyric-driven songwriting approach that evolves through the recording process to incorporate orchestral elements, often contributed by frequent collaborator Robyn Dawson, along with electronic textures and found sounds. Eliott’s most recent album, dryas, came out on May 30th, 2025 via Lost Map Records. Since its release, Eliott has been actively touring across the UK, including support slots for James Yorkston & Nina Persson (The Cardigans) and Stick in the Wheel. Made possible with support from Creative Scotland and the PRS Women Make Music fund, dryas has been widely praised, with coverage in The List and The Scotsman, longlisted for the SAY Award, nominated for the SAMA award under the Best Acoustic category & included in The List’s ‘Hot 100’ for 2025. The album follows two earlier releases, Impossible Bodies (2019, OK Pal Records) and Insects (2016, Song, by Toad Records), both of which received strong reviews and national radio play on BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction, and BBC 6 Music.

Jude Norton-Smith is a contemporary singer-songwriter based in Glasgow. With chameleonic grace, Jude reinvents traditional folk storytelling with subversion - and a sly eye for silliness. New 7-track album I’ve Saw A Many Strange Things (released April 2026) sees Jude’s signature sound of delicate fingerstyle guitar and wry lyricism taken to heady new heights. A n album of whimsy, but it does not wish to escape the world - rather, lift up the lawn and become a part of it, robed in quilts of many colours.
