Glorious Traces Festival: VANISHING TWIN + C DUNCAN + CARWYN ELLIS & RIO 18 + MANY MORE
Entry Requirements: Over 18s only
In August 2016, The Glad Cafe's events team curated and ran the first ever Glorious Traces weekend festival. Featuring acts as diverse as Alasdair Roberts to Ian William Craig, Eliza Carthy to Guttersnipe, Babe to Tina Krekels, the event proved to be one of the most diverse and imaginatively programmed festivals ever ran in the south of Glasgow.
The Scotsman said "an eclectic weekend of live music which offered a timely snapshot of just how rich in talent, not to mention wildly diverse, the Glasgow independent music scene remains" and Glorious Traces also had a place in The List's Hot 100 list in 2016 and Stewart Smith "...what the weekend underlines is the plurality of the Glasgow music scene and the extent to which it's plugged in to wider developments" in the Quietus.
Now, in 2019, thanks to Creative Scotland, The Glad Cafe are delighted to revive Glorious Traces this October! We're delighted to announce the first wave of acts to play including an opening night, brought to you in conjunction with Fire Records and Lost Map's Lost Weekender featuring Vanishing Twin, Jane Weaver's new project Fenella, Pictish Trail, Modern Studies and Callum Easter!! Also playing over the weekend will be C Duncan, Lavinia Blackwall & Stilton, Carwyn Ellis & Rio 18, Ben Chatwin, Jill Lorean, The Two Monarchs featuring Tony Bevan and Richard Youngs, Robert Sotelo and many, many more!
