Since the release of her debut single in 2019, Glaswegian artist Neev has built a reputation for discovering beauty in the small details.

Her talent for storytelling and worldbuilding has earned her early support from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Sian Eleri and BBC Radio 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, as well as a sync on BBC drama Waterloo Road. She also performed live and televised for the BBC Introducing x Celtic Connections Showcase at Saint Luke's in Glasgow in 2022.

Neev released her debut album, Katherine, in 2023, a collection of intricate indie-folk songs that pack a lyrical punch, receiving four stars from the Daily Express. Tracks from the record have already been played on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, and BBC Radio Scotland.

London-based artist Neev made a return with How Things Tie in Knots, 28 March 2025. A record shaped by tension, contrast, and self-discovery, it delves into the struggle of embracing multiple identities and the complexities of human relationships. At its core, How Things Tie in Knots thrives on duality—between heritage and individuality, tradition and progression, restraint and release. Tracks from the album have been played by the likes of John Kennedy (Radio X), Sian Eleri (Selector Radio) and Angela Griffin (BBC Radio 2).

“With How Things Tie in Knots, Neev solidifies herself as one of the most compelling voices in modern folk-pop.” Backseat Mafia (9/10)

“How Things Tie In Knots is, overall, a really bold, polished body of work.” Get in Her Ears

“It’s a vulnerable, often angsty offering, relatable and comforting in equal measure.” The Skinny

"There’s an intricacy to everything Neev does, a songwriter clearly in love with their craft, and now, more than ever, sounding ready to invite everyone in to share her talents." - For the Rabbits

"Her talent is self-evident.” - The Scotsman

"intricate instrumental arrangements, intimate lyrical observations, and potent emotional songwriting." - Under the Radar

"Atmospheric." - Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6 Music

"I just adore her voice." - Sian Eleri, BBC Radio 1

“I just love it” - Deb Grant, BBC Radio 6

“Right up my street” - Guy Garvey, BBC Radio 6
