Crossmylaff Comedy: Scott Agnew & Friends
Entry Requirements: Over 18s only
The Southside's longest-running, BIG, Award-Winning Saturday Night of Comedy at The Glad Cafe presents an alternative Edinburgh Fringe!
Who's On?
It's a warm welcome back to Crossmylaff favourite Scott Agnew! Scott's recent nomination for the inaugural Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award at the 2023 Glasgow International Comedy Festival is just the latest of accolades for the critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning Glaswegian comedian including Scottish Comedian of the Year in 2008, Best Show at Scottish Comedy Awards, The Icon Entertainer of The Year and Proud Scotland Entertainer of the Year. Not forgetting, the pinnacle, named as Attitude magazine’s 94th Most Eligible Gay Bachelor in the World in 2017!
Joining Scott we have Tia Boyd, without doubt Scotland's leading Arab-Scots comedian and actor, host of Open Sauce Comedy and the brand new night Too Queer? in Glasgow. A mercilessly self-deprecating and hilarious storyteller with a cheeky charm that'll disarm but cause no harm, we're delighted to bring Tia to the show!
We're delighted to welcome back the dry-but-delightful Ukranian Iryna Gil to the Glad as she observes us with the outsider's eye and honestly we don't quite know why she puts up with us but we couldn't be happier to have her!
Our line-up rounds-up with returning new talent, saying the things that you may not all have been thinking, Rowan Hackett and enthusiastic absurdist Calum Frost! Quality top to bottom!
Your regular host is the maitre d' of comedy, Fergus Mitchell with tunes from Tommy and Paul, aka house band The Isaac Haze!
Did you know that many Saturday night comedy shows don't pay their newer acts anything because they're 'giving them a break'? Not Crossmylaff. We've given acts a break too AND paid everyone since our September 2017 show because it's the right thing to do, so when you buy a ticket from us you're directly supporting new comedy talent, NOT just promoters! Thank you! #SaturPay
