Spirito Quartet

Formed in late 2022, the Spirito Quartet is a dynamic ensemble of four accomplished young saxophonists: Sophia Elger (soprano), Richard Scholfield (alto), Rob Burton (tenor), and Robert Finegan (baritone). Renowned as soloists, they seamlessly blend together to create a cohesive and captivating sound, embracing a wide range of repertoire from established composers to innovative new voices.
The members of the Spirito Quartet have distinguished themselves academically, graduating with Distinction from renowned institutions like the Royal College of Music, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Zurich University of the Arts. Their individual accomplishments include recognition as a Classic FM "30 Under 30" Rising Star, live performances on BBC Radio 3's "In Tune," the ROSL Sussex Prize, the Jane Melber Competition, and awards from the Tunbridge Wells International Music Competition.
