Mesmerising and otherworldly, Fiona Soe Paing’s alt-folk re-imagines ancient stories and songs in a contemporary twist on traditional ballads. Inspired by the darker side of Northeast folklore, Sand Silt, Flint conjures a silvery palette of electronica textures and traditional Scottish sounds.

Otherworldly vocals, archive audio and grainy synths are interwoven with contributions from some of the Northeast’s premier instrumentalists, set against stunning visuals by collaborator Isla Goldie, evoking the landscapes that inspired each song.
