Anoraq is a Glasgow-based 5 piece whose sound weaves spoken word and vocal melodies with percussive grooves and ambient instrumentals, drawing on influences Radiohead, Bon Iver, Big Thief, Nils Frahm, and ambient artists like Ann Annie and R.Beny. They founded Inside Voices, a poetry and music night at King Tut’s, Scotland’s leading independent music venue. They have supported as diverse acts as LYR (Simon Armitage) and hip-hop duo Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn.

Raisins asks what it means to run. It is the first release by Anoraq, a Glasgow-based 5 piece. Composed on Skye during in late 2021, Anoraq’s first release is a nod to their beginnings. The track captures the early chemistry of poet Patrick Romero McCafferty and producer Tim Martin-Ciubotaru at the early stages of the project, developed in collaboration with Lewis Hall, Alex Palmer, and Peter Kay.


Ellen Renton is a poet, performer, and theatre maker from Edinburgh. Her debut pamphlet ‘An Eye For An Eye For An Eye’ was published by Stewed Rhubarb Press in 2021, and in 2023 she collaborated with Lord of the Isles on the album ‘My Noise is Nothing’. She is currently on the Clydebuilt writers programme.


Cherub are a five piece based in Glasgow, combine elements of folk, choral harmonies and electronic layers Cherub create a delicate, textural and ominous body of music.
