These events focus attention on the long history of Israel's illegal occupation, and this September session zooms in on the longstanding and brutal imprisonment of thousands of Palestinian people who are held indefinitely by Israel.

We are shifting our format slightly this time...

The evening will start with a series of poems and short-readings from Palestinian artists and those inspired by them followed by a script-in-hand reading of ANSAR by Fateh Azzam, Ismail Dabbagh, Abed Ju'beh & Nidal Khatib. As always, the night will close with a informal space for discussion about how theatre makers, arts workers and Glasgow citizens can continue to support the Palestinian struggle.

October 7th was not the beginning of the story. Our events continue to share work wirtten before this moment, but with the intention to shout about the here and now - to use whatever means we have to continue to call for an immediate and unequivocal CEASEFIRE, to demand a global intervention to end this horrific genocide and insist the UK Government ceases its involvement by withdrawing its support for Israeli war crimes and immediately ends arms sales to Israel.

The event is free with all organisers, contributors and performers donating their time. On the night we will have buckets and will be collecting donations for Adameer, who raise money for legal services and support for illegally detained Palestinians.

We recognise that for our disabled colleagues there are substantial barriers to participating in many forms of public gathering and activism. We are working to ensure the event is accessible as possible and will post updates here. If you have specific access needs you'd like to discuss in advance, please contact us via Eventbrite with your preferred contact and one of the organisers will be in touch.
