Iona Lane + Fritillaries
Entry Requirements: Over 18s only
Iona Lane’s beautifully subtle songsmithery is underpinned by a deep awe and wonder for the natural world – the poetic depth in her lyrics and music becomes a natural force of its own.
Her long-awaited debut album 'Hallival' is inspired by natural landscapes, scientific discoveries, equality, human relationships and the supernatural, all tied together by a strong sense of place and a love for being in wild places. This year Iona released the EP 'Bring The Tide In', this collection of songs is threaded with nostalgia and childhood memories.
"A real talent!" - Mark Radcliffe BBCR2 Folk Show
"Iona's lyrics and musical arrangements crackle with wide-eyed curiosity.” - Jude Rogers, The Guardian
"Iona feels like a kindred spirit with her gorgeous evocations of landscape and geeky scientific references." - Karine Polwart
