The City Sinners - "play the music of Gram and Emmylou"
Entry Requirements: Over 18s only
Unfortunately this show has been cancelled due to illness. Please see statement from artist below:
Hi all,
Due to an ongoing heavy cold and throat infection, I am unable to perform at the moment, and regret that this weekend’s City Sinners’ gigs in Peebles (tonight), and Glasgow (tomorrow) have had to be cancelled.
We would like to apologise for the short notice and inconvenience, but felt that to go ahead and play under such circumstances would result in a performance below our usual standards which would effectively be cheating the audience.
We hope that all who have bought tickets will be sympathetic to the situation, and you will, of course, be offered the option of keeping tickets for the rescheduled dates (which will be announced soon), or a refund.
Regards,
John Hinshelwood
The City Sinners feature some of the top players on the Scottish country/Americana scene, fronted by critically acclaimed singer songwriter John Hinshelwood and ex Peach County singer Louise McAtee. Guitarist Iain Barbour and pedal steel player Malcolm McMaster are both in demand as session players, and can count Jason Ringenberg, Jim Lauderdale and Martin Stephenson among their many collaborators. Bass player/singer David McKee is a member of The Wynntown Marshals, one of Scotland’s premier Americana outfits, and drummer Frank McHugh has recorded and toured extensively with various bands, most notably Big Sur whose debut single “Please Stay” was a Radio One single of the week.
