Adam Thom + The Black Denims
Entry Requirements: Over 18s only
Aberdonian singer-songwriter, Adam Thom, is back with an all star band ready to captivate his audience this November from The Glad Cafe stage.
Since making his indelible mark on Glasgow’s music scene, with his string of sold out shows at the renowned Blue Arrow Jazz Club, Adam has been recording with the city’s finest musical minds, bringing his creations to life.
Adam is well known for his poetic imagery lyrically and his infectious love for storytelling. Working tirelessly on emotive new sounds in modern country music, his unique style of songwriting finds a home on the same path as his musical heroes, Gordon Lightfoot, Tony Rice, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and Guy Clark.
Also taking the stage are Glasgow’s own 8 piece supergroup, The Black Denims, fronted by long term collaborator, August Saint-Giles. Following their sold out headline shows for Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival, as well as their gripping main stage slot at Eden Festival, the group also enjoyed the success of BBC’s Single of the Week with their summer release ‘Ain’t All Roses’.
The evening is set to be packed with some of the strongest new musical talent that Glasgow has to offer. Offering a refreshing depth to the new wave of Scottish folk music.
