From the heart of Glasgow's pulsating music landscape, emerges Nightshift, a group that refuses to be confined by genre, stitching together fragments of indie, alternative, and the avant-garde into a sound uniquely their own. Eothen Stearn (2Ply), an artist as at home in a gallery as she is on a stage, is a key cornerstone of the group, applying her talents to keyboards, vocals, and percussion. She infuses Nightshift's sound with an edgy freshness, combining the visual and aural in new and thrilling ways. Stepping away from the drum kit and up to the guitar is Chris White, formerly of indie darlings Spinning Coin. Chris' musical reinvention brings a new resonance to the band, his guitar work speaking volumes about his diverse musical vocabulary. Then there's Andrew Robert Doig. His bass grooves and vocal undertones, honed during stints with Spin Spin The Dogs, Order of the Toad, and Robert Sotelo, serve as the essential glue holding Nightshift's sonic collage together. Last, but certainly not least, we welcome Rob Alexander to the fold. Cutting his teeth with The Gummy Stumps, Rob now brings his percussive prowess to Nightshift, adding a rhythmic dimension that perfectly complements the band's expansive soundscape. Together, they are Nightshift - a testament to the innovative spirit and creative dynamism of Glasgow's music scene. Just as a night shift illuminates the darkness, so does this band shine a light on new and exhilarating musical paths. Buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
