An afternoon of magnetic music, sparking with newly found sounds, drawn from the heart of spontaneous collaborations. Award winning and ground-breaking composer, and electrifying pianist, Alister Spence has been at the forefront of Australian contemporary music for 30 years. Here, as part of European tour, is joined by 6 of Scotland most engaging musicians:
Martin Green, brilliantly inventive and one of the driving forces from the hugely popular trio Lau. Una MacGlone is a double bass player and composer who makes her instrument sing, soar, rasp and scream like no other. Jessica Argo is a dazzling sound artist specialising in immersive spatial soundscapes (with 3D visualisation) playing theremin and cello. Melissa Rankin alters audiences' perception of sound by creating borderline hypnotic, multi-sensory experiences. Tom Bancroft, an effervescent and virtuosic constant force for good on the Scottish Jazz scene and the restless and constantly enquiring saxophonist Raymond MacDonald.
