David A. Jaycock’s mysterious, atmospheric and evocative music has been released on respected underground labels such as Triassic Tusk, Blackest Rainbow, Static Caravan, Folklore Tapes and One Little Indian. He is a BBC2 folk awards, twice-nominated guitarist/composer and has released many solo records and collaborative records within the folk/electronic/song-writer/psych genres.

His 2020 record ‘Murder, and the Birds’ received very favourable reviews in the Guardian and music magazines such as ‘Shindig’ (Feb 2021), ‘Songlines’ and continues to receive airplay on the BBC and other digital and international radio stations.

He has recently co-written two albums with folk singer Marry Waterson from the legendary folk family, the Watersons, the latter album was produced by Adrian Utley (Portishead). These recordings have received critical acclaim in the national press and continued airplay on the BBC and many other international radio stations.

His concept record ‘The Decline of the Mobile Library’ was featured on Stuart Maconnie’s Freak Zone and David has contributed to the Folklore Tapes projects over a period of more than ten years. Jaycock’s has scored and provided music for Richard Heap‘s feature film ‘The Runaways’ (2019) and documentaries ‘Consumed: Inside the Belly of the Beast’ (2011) and ‘Dragons Back Race’ (2013).W.
