Announcing Jerry Joseph ‘Tick’, released on Dial Back Sound, a companion to Jerry’s 2020 LP ‘The Beautiful Madness’ (décor records) which was given rave reviews across the UK and EU with Americana album of the month in UNCUT and Americana UK & Folk Radio UK calling it contender for album of the year. Tick is available on blue vinyl, cd and download. Herein lies a collection of demos and unreleased tracks considered for the original project. Demos feature Patterson Hood as he and Jerry worked closely. Unreleased tracks feature The Drive-By Truckers aka The Stiff Boys as backing. They have also mixed and mastered the first live performances of songs from The Beautiful Madness. These versions were engineered by David Barbe and staff at the 2020 Heathens Homecoming hosted by Drive-By Truckers at the fabulous 40 Watt in Athens, GA. The renditions are loose and especially rousing as fans have come to expect from this bunch. We couldn’t fit all the madness on one LP, but you will receive all tracks via the digital release that accompanies vinyl orders. All intended tracks are available on the CD. Jason Isbell called him one of the greatest triple threats, a great singer, songwriter and performer, Richmond Fontaine liked him so much they took him on support for their UK farewell tour in 2016 and The Delines and Drive-By Truckers took him out on their 2022 European tours. Residing in Portland Oregon Jerry has been releasing records and touring the States and the rest of the world since the early 1980s.
