Having served as sideman for several cutting edge acts of the Glasgow jazz scene, James Mackay leads a fresh lineup through a selection of newly written groove based music. Keeping his jazz rooted tradition close, he explores a melting pot of genres through contemporary compositions with dance and intensity at their centre. Expect ambience, improvisation and groove from the sound worlds of James’ heroes Radiohead and Massive Attack.
