Josie Duncan's original songs were receiving airtime on Radio 2 before she even left university. Winner of 2017’s Radio 2 Young Folk Award, audiences at festivals all over the world had come to recognise her as a vital figure within Scottish folk music. Josie's debut album As The Moonlight Melts ventures confidently into new ground, drawing comparisons to Phoebe Bridgers and Maggie Rodgers.
Michael McGovern is a Scottish singer / songwriter. His debut album Highfield Suite captures his signature sound, with fingerpicking guitars, harmonies and heartfelt lyrics; a nod to some of his influences like Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. The album received critical acclaim in both the UK and in Ireland, including BBC Radio Scotland and RTE Lyric album of the week and 8.5/10 Hot Press Magazine. Michael was endorsed by folk music legend Paul Brady; “I love it, what an unexpected gem”.
Scott C. Park is a singer-songwriter from the Isle of Lewis making country-influenced guitar pop, combining the wit and smirk of bands like Wilco with the depth of Elliott Smith. Scrawled electric guitars and sweet swells of pedal steel flank stark confessionals about identity and spirituality on his 2021 EP Scampy Lampy. Louder Than War described his 2021 single ‘Slide’ as “an instantly engaging combination of jangly guitars, laid back folksy vocals and caustic, dense lyrics”.
