The Southside's longest-running, BIG Award-Winning Saturday Night of Comedy returns after the summer break!

Join your host Fergus Mitchell as he welcomes the amazing Jojo Sutherland to the wonderful Glad Cafe for the night Comedy's been waiting for! Jay will be joined by the excellent Scott Forbes, Kathleen Hughes, Iain Pringle and Gabriel Featherstone! Check out some of our five-star audience reviews for shows past...

Headliner JOJO SUTHERLAND is much in demand for comedy clubs throughout the UK & Europe, she is considered one of the top comperes for club, corporate and festival work worldwide. Her quick fire gags, and outrageously truthful storytelling ability has seen her gracing stages throughout Europe, The Middle East, Iceland and Australia! Jojo is also a repeat return favourite for the military comedy base tour, entertaining the troops stationed overseas..

“Outclassed her colleagues!” - Evening News

"You need to go and see this show.. you will laugh.. a LOT" - The Scotsman

The man from Montrose Scott Forbes is a regular performer and MC at shows up and down the land. From observations to impressions, his straight to the point, quick-wit humour always has the audience in raptures. In 2019 he supported Gary Meikle on a number of tour dates and also had his first successful sold out show “Adulting” at Glasgow international Comedy Festival.

“Rapid fire natural delivery” - Evening Express

“He gets you quick and once he does it’s machine gun laughter all the way “ - Gary Meikle

Kathleen Hughes is a newcomer who is making an impact with her arrival on the comedy scene. Her fresh, insightful humour and tenacious approach has cemented her as one to watch in Scottish comedy and saw her to the final of Gilded Balloon’s national “So You Think You’re Funny?” new act competition in 2021 and the semi-finals of LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year 2022.

Since then, she has been entertaining audiences across Scotland, including a sell-out show at Glasgow International Comedy Festival and regular spots at the world-famous Stand comedy club. Her writing has also been featured on BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking the News and BBC Radio 4’s Newsjack.

“Kathleen knows how to give a crowd what they want” – Beyond The Joke

“Relatable material from a likably open and adroit performer” – Chortle

Iain Pringle is a newcomer to comedy who in a relatively short period of time has performed his sharp routines about about sex, drugs and care for the elderly at the best comedy clubs in the country including The Stand, Hot Water, Monkey Barrel and even as far as Amsterdam, Austin and Las Vegas. He has spent the past year as the resident compere at Peckham's Comedy Club in Hyndland.

Gabriel Featherstone is a humble cloud of broken thoughts and memories, trapped inside a mobile prison of rapidly deteriorating flesh. He is also a stand-up comedian from Glasgow. Described by comedy historian Robert Wringham as being "the noble heir to a worthy line of fringe-dwelling loons", Gabriel is well known in Scottish cabaret circles for having written a really catchy song about cabbages. He is a member of CHUNKS, a Glasgow-based alternative comedy collective with three Scottish Comedy Awards and a smashing review on Chortle.

Gabriel has written three one-man shows - Carved From Ape (2017), Whelk Ham Tomb Eye Toybox (2018), and The Toys That Broke Me (2019).
