Write to Recovery: An Evening of Readings
Entry Requirements: Over 18s only
You are invited to an evening of Write to Recovery readings.
If you’ve ever put pen to paper to work through difficult feelings, you might already know how powerful words can be. In fact, creating and taking control of their own stories can help people experiencing some sort of distress, emotional difficulty or mental ill-health to experience recovery.
Join us and hear the work of those involved with Write to Recovery as they read their expressive and creative writing in an intimate and atmospheric setting at The Glad Cafe.
Call for speakers!
We are looking for people who use the Write to Recovery website or attend a group to read their work. Readers will be invited to an informal pre-event meeting to meet the Write to Recovery facilitators, their fellow readers, and to practice. For more information about this opportunity or to get involved email erin.crombie@scottishrecovery.net
The evening will also include open-mic spots for audience members who also wish to share creative written-work. There will be an opportunity to sign up for this at the beginning of the evening.
